The concept of this collection was inspired by the peak viewing Saturday night show, Pop Idol, which held the nation in it's thrall during the winter of 2001/2002. We have gathered together a number of the now classic songs so wonderfully sung by the aspiring Pop Idols and present them here either in their original format or in earlier incarnations.
Includes; Oh Look At Me Know by Frank Sinatra & Tommy Dorsey which was featured in Pop Idol sung by Gareth and Zoë both on stage and CD. Let There Be Love by Hutch (Leslie A Hutchinson), which was ably sung by Pop Idol's Darius. La Mer by Charles Trenet, which was revived, obviously inspired by Bobby Darin, by Pop Idol's Will Young & Mack The Knife by Louis Armstrong & The Allstars, which Pop Idol's Gareth Gates has enthusiastically taken on board, performing this track both on television
