Following the incredible success of our Avid Roots series which includes such classic blues names as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Jimmy Reed, B.B King, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker, Lonnie Johnson, Reverend Gary Davis and Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. We thought it was time to add another couple of names to our Roots roster Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson and re-visit two old friends, Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf. Our four blues masters all knew each other well and as you will see from the liner notes often played on each other’s albums. They were blues giants, blues friends and blues rivals all playing the same circuits and all trying to make a living playing and recording the blues. We think they all did a pretty good job as you will discover when you take a listen to Classic Blues Masters.
